What Pathery holds

Your account, plan and payment state; and one row per link — the date, exercise, your code, note, expiry, device mark, and any returned date you type. Never anything your client writes, a copy of returned homework, or a record that it came back.

What your client needs to be told

The link works for 30 days

A link works for 30 days after you create it — that covers opening it, doing the work, and sending it back. After that it will not open, finished or not. Ask your client to send their work back before that date.

A pause of a week starts them over

Their answers sit on their own device and clear after seven days without a visit. To keep the answers, ask them to come back every few days.

One device, and not inside a messaging app

Only the first device that opens the link can use it. A first tap often opens inside WhatsApp or Messenger, which is refused with instructions on screen — tell them to open it in Safari or Chrome instead.

Private browsing cannot work

A private window throws everything away when it closes, so there is nothing for the tool to save. Ask them to use a normal tab — not Private Browsing or Incognito.

What comes back to you

Their work arrives as a link, not here

When they finish, they send you a link by WhatsApp, email, or however you sent the first link. Nothing appears in this portal.

Save that message

Pathery holds no copy of their work. The link is encrypted, and only the therapist who created the homework can sign in and open it. Keep the message safe: if it is deleted, Pathery cannot recover the work.

You mark the homework as returned

On a returned homework link, you can mark the homework as returned, which will show on the portal history screen. Alternatively, you can type the returned date on the portal history screen by yourself. It is your own note, useful because it sorts and because it answers how long a client took.

An empty box means nothing at all

Pathery is never told whether a client sent their work, so a blank Returned box is not evidence that they did not do it. Only your own typing puts a date there.

What uses up your links

Creating counts, sending does not

You can re-send or re-show the same link as often as you like. What uses an allowance is creating a new one — including a new one for the same client.

Send again on an expired row costs one

A 30-day link cannot be extended, so carrying on is a fresh link.

Your month is your own

The allowance refills on your subscription day each month, not on the 1st. Unused links do not carry over.

What Pathery never sees

Everything your client writes stays in their own browser and travels inside the part of a web address that browsers never send to a server. We hold your account, your plan, and one row per link — the date, the exercise, your four-character code, and any returned date you typed yourself. No answers, and no record that anything came back.
